Flufftober 2025 is a collection of soft, feel-good Marina moments.
Traditionally, Flufftober includes 31 days of prompts creating 31 stories, but I’m combining a few and creating slightly longer stories instead. Each piece blends multiple prompts into one cozy, heartwarming chapter full of love, laughter, and all the fluff Maya Bishop and Carina DeLuca deserve.

Summary
Maya never takes vacations. She is a fire station captain now and that means she has to put in the work, to show up every day better than the next because it’s a constant battle to prove herself in the Fire Department. She has neglected her social life and her friends and it got to a point where she had to literally be bullied into a girls trip to Brazil for her to realise it was exactly what she needed to decompress, to feel like her old self again.
Turns out, basking in the small pleasures of the Brazilian sun and the sea and the sand and meeting an exotic stranger over paint covered brushes and wine stained canvases, is all it would take to bleed colour back into her world.

Carina opened her mouth to speak but shut it and shook her head with a smile. “I’ll return soon, Maya.” She walked back to the kitchen.
Maya books a private dining experience for a date, but after her date bails, she finds herself in much better company of a beautiful, Italian chef.
