Diluc scoffs. "And since when have you been so pious?" he retorts. "Has your stay in the cathedral these past weeks turned you towards the cloth, then?"
It's a low blow — and Diluc regrets this, too, when Kaeya flinches from it. "You don't know what they're capable of," says Kaeya, quietly. "They smile upon you because they expect you to act in their honor... but if you give them any reason to believe that you've crossed them, then you won't be the only one paying the price for it."
