    Summary

Gwin Ashford had never felt so miserable. She knew this wasn't her fault, but perhaps if she had asked for a common gift instead of a tournament, Prince Baelor would still be alive. The problem is that the gods take wishes far too seriously, and now they force her to unwrap the same bloody gift over and over again.

“I beg you, by the gods who are watching us,” she pleaded, digging her fingers into the metal of his armor, trying to hold him back. “Do not go. Stay. Do not die for me again; I swear to you, it isn't worth it.”

Baelor looked at her with that devastating kindness that only he possessed.

“Lady Gwin, we have only just met. How could I die for you 'again'?”

    Summary

At first sight, Sophie fell in love with the infamous wizard, Howl.

Years later, circumstances made it so that Howl was forced to marry her. She thought she'd never know a greater joy than to marry the man she considered the love of her life since she was a child. But a marriage with someone as fickle and unpredictable as the dangerous wizard was more than Sophie bargained for. There would be a time when she'd have to decide and decide well. Especially to protect her feelings and spirit, if anything.

    Summary

When the first bomb falls on her house she imagines it must be a little like a meteorite, a falling star, dripping sparks like stardust in its wake. As the room around her goes bright white and then dark, Madge holds her clasped hands to her chest and wishes.

    -or-

Madge Undersee dies in the bombing of District 12 and wakes up the morning of the Reaping for the 74th Hunger Games. It fixes nothing.

    Summary

“Gale can be a bit,” Katniss furrows her brow and squints in thought, “Obtuse.”

Madge huffs out a laugh as the two begin their trek down the hall, pulling a small letter from her coat pocket, “That’s one word for it. But trust me, I was very direct in my message, and I have a whole speech prepared and everything. Peeta read over it and said it would definitely elicit a positive response.”

Katniss purses her lips, looking dubiously at the pink, be-hearted envelope, “Really?”

“Yes, I don’t think there’s any possible way he could misconstrue my meaning this time,” Madge frowns, pulling the envelope closer to her chest and away from Katniss’ judgmental gaze, “And before you say anything, this is the only stationary I had on hand and I was not about to buy brand new stationary just for him. It would be a waste.”

“I’m sure he’ll appreciate your thrift,” Katniss sighs, shaking her head, but there is a small smile playing upon her lips and Madge takes it as a win.

    Summary

Being forced into a semester-long project with your worst enemy is hard enough, but when that's extended to 18 years? Utterly impossible. Unthinkable. With Madge and Gale, perhaps unavoidable.
