Summary
One year after Shroud’s defeat, the Phoenix Program is officially recognized as a success. With a new opening at DTLA following the death of one of their downtown dispatchers, the Director of the SDN decides Torrance’s ‘miracle worker’, Robert Robertson III, is a perfect fit for the job. He and his team-- the Z-Team-- finally have a chance to move up in the world. New costumes, new branding, maybe even merch... how could he say no?
Sure, a few of the SDN's top "golden boys" have gone violently rogue and the SDN is weirdly desperate to make it Robert's problem, but... who's got time to worry about that when the team's making their (second) debut?
[A continuation of Dispatch wherein Robert and the Z-Team get new fits, navigate corporate hell, and fend off a threat that could unwind society as they know it. Also, Beef is there.]

Flambae suddenly comments casually, gaining a confused noise from the woman sitting beside him.
”He looks like he’s about five seconds from puking.”
”What the hell do you—-”
Needless to say, that sick feeling was not just his nerves spiraling as Robert collapses to the ground, throwing up whatever he’d managed to eat from his meal, and probably whatever was left from the drinks and the ramen cup from earlier today.
”Ew, what the hell Robert?! You clearly aren’t fine!”
Visi sounds a little panicked now and he could feel couple others check on him too, with Malevola offering him a napkin to wipe his face. Punch Up was crouched beside him - perhaps not necessary with how short he was but anyway - asking if he needed to go to a hospital or something.
”Bitch got a concussion, don’t need a doctor to spell out the obvious.”

The one where Robert feels too guilty over his fight with Flambae to admit he is Mecha Man, then things get complicated when he catches Feelings/Flambae starts to act as his totally-not-a-bf-caretaker BC he's too much of a troublemagnet. The girl’s shoulders hunch again. An expression is battling on her face. Guilt again, and fear, and shame. And then faintly, in the soft turn of her cheek, commiseration. She watches Gustave for a long, sad moment, and then turns to a new page in the notepad. She starts writing something, and then stops, glancing furtively at Gustave before scribbling it out. On a new line she instead writes in big bold letters:
Maelle.
OR
Gustave is the local mechanic of Lumiere, an idyllic coastal village far away from the chaos and conflict of Paris. Struggling with his recent injury and the loss of a good friend, he's not quite prepared when a family moves into the abandoned Manor on the edge of town.
He's definitely not prepared for their children.
