He knew a large gate into Hawkins had been opened. He hoped Dustin, Steve and the others, especially his superpowered friend Eleven, found them soon and killed that bastard for good.
But even if they only managed the latter, Eddie would count that as a blessing at this point.
He tucked himself on his stomach in between the two men, covering and curling his wings closely over their forms to try and help them get what little warmth he could and sent a prayer to anything that would listen, that the others managed to save them too.

This person –‘’ ‘’Happy’’ Peter interrupted. ‘’What?’’ ‘’His name is Happy’’ He clarified. ‘’Okay, according to you, Happy who for some reason has access to a jet, is going to land that in my tulip field? To pick you up, a teenager who’s on a school trip?’’ She summarized sceptically. Peter shrugged. ‘’Yeah, basically.’’ At her incredulous look, he added desperately. ‘’I know it sounds stupid but please don’t ask me why and believe me. Happy used to be head of security at SI and is a friend of mine. He told me to meet me at your field because it’s noticeable from the sky.’’ She thought about it for a moment and suddenly she jumped up from her seat. ‘’He’s going to land a plane in the tulip field.’’ She stared at Peter with wide eyes.
OR: Peter finds out why Happy's plan to land a plane in a tulip field might not be such a great idea after all.
