They had dated for a long time during, and for some time after, lycée. But, when he had found out about his parents and what they had done, he no longer knew who he was. No matter what she had told him, he had never felt adequate or like a real person. A part of her wondered if it stemmed from years of being treated like a mannequin as an ambassador of his father’s fashion brand, but she really didn’t know. He never fully opened up to her about it, but she knew he had nightmares and had begun to not sleep much. And in the end of all of the chaos, he ended it and moved out of their apartment to try and find himself.
Last she heard, he had moved to New York, away from the city, and in a remote cabin in the woods. At least, that was what Nino had told Alya, and Alya had told her. -

Marinette Dupain-Cheng had spent years studying for a psychology degree to work in Miraculous Penitentiary. A place that most would be too afraid to step foot in. It was her first day and she was assigned to Adrien Agreste, son of the nefarious Gabriel Agreste.

At the tender age of nine-years-old, Adrien Agreste was tossed overboard by his father. He floated in the sea for a while until Captain Fu found him. Newly named Captain Chat Noir after being considered bad luck since birth and hoping to find a new luck as being a pirate Captain at sea... he now commands his own Galleon and crew of men. He has quite the reputation among people, but he isn't exactly how they say.
Once he arrives at a port with his crew... he hears a wife sale, finding a woman that catches his eye and he can't help but bid on her and save her. Thing is, having a woman on board is not only bad luck but a capital offense, so she has to do one thing.... disguise herself as part of the crew and be smuggled on board, keeping her identity secret from the others.
