"My name is Wilbur Soot, which probably won't sound familiar to you. But I know who you are, Tommy." Wilbur ran his fingers over Tommy's arm, in a way that could be either comforting or threatening. Wilbur wasn't even sure what his intention was, himself. "Your parents owe me a lot of money."
Tommy flinched when the voice–this man, Wilbur–came in contact, soft fingers brushing against his arm. It wasn't at all harmful, but it made Tommy's stomach churn. His skin turned to goosebumps. He could feel bile rising in his throat.

What was this?"Hey, hey, don't cry." Wilbur's voice came out condescending. He watched, entranced almost, at the rapid rise and fall of Tommy's chest. "You and I, we're going to figure out how to make this right, okay? You're going to help me get the money I'm owed."

“I am- i need help” he said, wincing as he shifted his weight and his wings shuffled against his back, they were a deep blue that matched the sky.
“Clearly” was all Tommy could think to say, Henry had the demon as a minimal threat and was sniffing around the bushes again. The demon gave him a confused look and suddenly his face changed like a revelation and Tommy knew exactly what he was about to ask.
“I… I want to make a deal” he finally said and Tommy couldn’t even bring himself to react. Apparently he had the worst luck on the planet.

Tommy had always joked about getting rich but what his crew don't know is he could achieve that anytime quite easily. After joining their ship he discovered family, friends and a good night singing his heart out was all he needed to be happy.
It was the SBI's turn to learn the value Tommy brought to the table though. Sometimes even when all your belongings were stripped away you had to turn to your family, forgive your losses and trust you could make it out together.Series

He shook his head furiously, choked sobs forcing their way out of his mouth as he shuffled backwards, hands scrabbling on the gravel and cutting into his palms. He didn’t notice the pain, too hopped up on adrenaline and fear to recognise it.
Without his permission, a chirp managed to escape, almost masked by his cries and incomprehensible pleading.

Zephyrus paused in his approach, tensing at the sound and staring at Tommy, straightening up to his full height.
Tommy’s breathing became more frantic with the realisation that the man had heard. He knew now. That wasn’t good, that wasn’t safe. They were going to hurt him, they were going to kill him, Tommy didn’t want to die.
A coo reached his ears, the sound dancing on the wind. Safe-calm-protected.

Summary
Tommy was a God who made a new life for himself, moving on from his past and finding family in mortals where he thought it impossible. He already has two brothers, certainly he doesn't need anyone else. So why did these three other mortals seem so interested in him and how did he get them to back off?
He might not have been able to keep the fact that he was God from his brothers but he should be able to with the heroes, right? Even if he was going to be spending more time with them - what with MCC and training coming up... - it would be fine! ...Right?

Through the brutality and the loss, he kept his head down and did everything he had to do to just survive. He thought he knew everything he needed to know about the world. The sun rises in the East and sets in the West. The sky is blue, grass is green.

Summary
To understand how he got into this situation, you must first understand the circumstances in which he was raised. His parents and brother having died, the boy was left in the care of one Dr XD and subsequently was enrolled in a boarding school for the gifted.
From the outside, it would not seem like a particularly bad place for a child to have been raised. A large, stately manor with a sprawling green yard wrapped around in a seven foot wall and a fancy black gate. Vines covered the pale stone wall and from the upper most window, the one in the attic where there was an indent enough for someone to comfortable sit, there was a rather nice view of the surrounding area. If, at the right moment, one were to catch the sunset right as it hit the peak of the house, the entire thing would be submerged in a rich golden glow that made it look almost magical. With all that combined, one should never under any circumstances send their child to this school.
But Tommy had gone nonetheless and life for his would never be the same.

Tommy opens his eyes slowly, just barely, he feels the hard surface he’s lying on, the sun shining into his eyes, blinding him, and he could faintly hear someone speaking to him.
“Are you alright?” A voice asks, “Kid? Are you okay?! NIKI! CALL 911!”
Tommy closes his eyes, his head hurt. Why did death have to be so noisy? He thought as he drifted out of consciousness.

The SBI is a very popular superhero trio, they were basically the Hero Commission's main attraction. The three worked like a well oiled machine, using only code words and signals to quickly communicate with each other during missions. Tommy wanted to be even just a tiny gear in that machine, but he was told multiple times that he didn't have the powers for it.
