Summary
Home, Abed thinks, isn't so easily defined – nor determined. Home is a subjective term, it's meaning completely up to the interpretation of the speaker or the listener. For example, home, to Shirley, was a place. It was the roof over her children's heads, the kitchen where she baked, and the floorboards that bruised her knees as she dropped to her bedside to pray. Home to Britta, though, was a feeling. The heavy contentment that settles over her like a blanket as she passes the joint to a blurry faced being; the comfort of waking up dehydrated and fuzzy. These things are personal, something stored in your subconscious that keeps you grounded. For years, Abed struggled with that feeling, thinking his home was permanently ripped from his grasp. But then he came back.

Summary
It’s more about motel rooms than chapels. The prophet of the Lord is an alcoholic who struggles to keep afloat—God doesn’t have time to drag every hack writer out of the gutter, you know? And the angels are more willing to kill than either of them had expected. Dean thinks they’re supposed to have fluffy wings and Sam thinks they’re supposed to be wheels of eyes with incomprehensible power, and it turns out they have trench coats.

Summary
"But Dean's intelligence was every bit as formal and shining and complete, without the tedious intellectualness. And his 'criminality' was not something that sulked and sneered; it was a wild yea-saying overburst of American joy; it was Western, the west wind, an ode from the Plains, something new, long prophesied, long a-coming. Besides, all my New York friends were in the negative, nightmare position of putting down society and giving their tired bookish or political or psychoanalytical reasons, but Dean just raced into society, eager for bread and love."
