It was always in the moments like this–where he was alone and in pain and comforted only by the music that echoed from his stereo–that Mammon laid down and began to wonder where the fuck he went wrong.
Mammon had put off his own descent into sin to ensure that his brothers were safe, and he didn’t hold a grudge when they never returned the favor, regardless of the hurt it inflicted. Then for a short while, as the dust finally settled, everything was peaceful–Satan grew rapidly before his eyes, and the rest of the Devildom eventually came to tolerate the Fallens that had landed in their home realm.
But with the never-ending passage of time, his greed became increasingly difficult to satisfy.
And in turn, so did his brothers.
The music rang loudly in his ears. He had to accept that his brothers would not change, or attempt to rekindle the tenderness in which they once considered each other.
Too caught up in the flurry of his hysteria, Mammon did not see the six pairs of worried eyes that quietly watched him fall apart from the stairs.

Summary
A hurricane traveling up the coast from Florida is set to touch down in Palmetto, a problem no one predicted would incur anything other than storm damages. But the foxes learn the hard way that hurricanes fuck with barometric pressure, which fucks with scar tissue, something Neil happens to have a lot of.
So when he wakes up in excruciating pain, convinced that the past seven months after Baltimore weren’t real, he does the one thing he’d promised not to do anymore…
He runs.
Andrew isn’t far behind of course, but Neil is firm in his belief that he never actually left the car with Lola. There’s also a flash flood advisory to worry about, and he very much tore out of Fox Tower in nothing but a t-shirt and boxer shorts during a literal tropical storm.

Neil has a dissociative episode that sends him running and Andrew does a lot of feeling over it, begrudgingly, but still.

Andrew scoffed quietly to himself and set the phone on speaker to light his cigarette. Muffled, he said, “He better be eye candy if I’m coming to that dump.”
Andrew inhaled deep and closed his eyes for a moment before blowing the smoke out through his teeth. On the other end of the phone, just as he was bringing the cigarette back for another drag, he heard Wymack say, “Hey, my son wants to know if you’re cute.”
Andrew coughed up his lung at that surprise, but he didn’t miss the way that a distant voice piped up with “I want to say yes, sir.”

The first time O’Malley saw the kid was in a low-level underground gambling ring, walls crawling with asbestos and next to every bastard inside armed with something sharp if not something packed with warped metal and gunpowder.
He couldn’t have been more than thirteen, but he surveyed the crowd of the room with years more experience than he should have. There were scars cutting across exposed bits of skin, sick looking in the light of the place and stretching hotel-bible-page-thin over crooked bones.
He was a wispy thing. Nothing more than a scrap of a boy stitched together. O’Malley was half-convinced a strong wind might blow him over, but the kid turned, those quick and clever eyes burning across the room and O’Malley could recognize that sort of fight instinct.
He saw him again half a year later in Northern Florida.

On the run with his mother, Neil (before he took the name) put his talents to use in underground gambling rings to make some quick cash. It's a past not half-so-easy to walk away from as Nathan's death was.

Tim is injured while fighting Two-Face and, because of circumstances that may or may not involve the kid's lack of spleen and a low stock of Bat-Antibiotics, his siblings are forced to take him to Mount Justice instead of the Batcave for medical care. Which is fine. Really. The only problem is that the Team is unaware that Jason is alive. Also, they're unaware of Damian and Cass's existences, and of the fact that the Robins are all siblings, and of the fact that the Bats aren't actually harboring a dangerous villain in the Red Hood, but rather a dangerous-but-friendly anti-hero in the Red Hood. Big difference.
Fine, so maybe they have some explaining to do. But dammit if they're not gonna do it the Bat way.
