However, it's more likely due to the butterflies in her stomach, a burning ache that spreads through her entire body whenever Kyo is next to her. No, it's not that Kyo is bad at helping with the dishes. He's doing just fine. Every time she passes wet dishes in his direction and their fingertips brush, it's Tohru who's left breathless.
Doing the dishes is much harder with Kyo, she finds, because everything is harder to focus on when she can't stop thinking: that's my boyfriend that's my boyfriend that's my boyfriend—

“I don’t wanna talk about that,” he says, dropping her hand.
And Tohru thinks of that time last year, talking about wishes on the roof—and her only wish right now is that he would kiss her again. She’s never kissed anyone before, and she supposes that wasn’t exactly a real kiss... but butterflies erupt in her belly now, and she wishes she could put the feeling into words—but it leaves her speechless. As stupid as it makes her feel.

Tohru’s always thought of herself as a little box, with the lid sealed tightly shut. But as Kyo leans over her shoulder, as she feels his warm breath skate across her cheek, as her nails dig into the script like a life-line—she thinks she might be more like a cut that hasn’t quite healed. A wound that’s frayed and jagged where it’s been stitched back up, and the edges threaten to break apart at any moment. If it tears open, there’s nothing left to hold back all that she feels. And she’s not sure if it would ever heal the same way again, if she could ever go back to before it all split open.
She can’t.

Summary
Despite claims of the opposite (mostly from Mutsuki, who very often and very loudly claims he “hates anything fun”) there’s actually very few things Hajime hates. Granted, there aren’t that many things he actively likes either, but for 90% of things he encounters, he remains firmly neutral. His list of things he actively hates can be narrowed down to three:
1. Lemons- they’re gross, the scent is too strong, and he’s petty enough to admit that an instance of accidentally squeezing juice in his eye has formed a grudge (his dad apparently also hates them which only validates him further).
2. His biological grandfather. Fuck that guy in particular.
3. Valentine’s Day.In which Hajime just wants to be gay in peace.

The man still isn’t moving and she almost gives in to her natural instinct to check on him, make sure he’s alright. She hadn’t meant to use that much force, really! But…her body doesn't move, like everything just went to sleep.. She barely even registers the cold tile floor seeping into her now-bare foot.In which Tohru just wanted a nice day out with her boys.
