Some things in life are inevitable. Tony was always going to run. He was always going to know that staying in that house with that man would make one of them a murderer sooner or later. That certainty kept him steady against the fear, loneliness and shame of it all.
Meeting Jason Todd was not that.
Blessings are never inevitable. Srappy, scrawny Jason, whose willpower made him into something dangerous even when he had very little practical power with which to protect himself, is everything Tony ever imagined a blessing to be.

But then, Leia realized as she looked up at his face on the screen, she had never seen Palpatine like this. The Emperor had forgone that dark cloak that shielded his face from view. Instead his visage was plain and unmarred. He looked…ordinary. He looked like a regular man. Old. Not feeble, persay, but…vulnerable. Yet strong and confident. If Leia didn’t know any better, she’d say he looked almost kind.
But she did know better.
And as Palpatine spoke, the lack of Imperial presence, the strangeness of this place, the words Vader had spoken before her brother had vanished—everything came together at once, understanding dawning on Leia in an instant.
On the screen, Palpatine said, “With the Jedi behind us, we will defeat the Separatist Army once and for all, and bring peace to our Republic!”The crowd cheered, the applause ringing in Leia’s ears like a drumbeat.
Vader had sent them to the past.

Gotham city has had enough of watching her people suffer, she knows are knights are trying to help but sometimes you gotta put the demons down. Joker shouldn't be alive after all the people he's killed, he shouldn't be alive after killing one of her most beloved children, he shouldn't be alive after everything he's done.
It's not just the Joker, the court who lays in the shadows and pulls the strings like they're gods, the Gotham elites who pocket the money of the rouges or gangs so those rouges and gangs can walk free.
Gotham knows her city has corruption to it's root, shed hoped her Bat knight would uproot it. But he has not, he's seemingly blind to it, if the corruption wasn't there the joker would've been sentenced to death for his crimes long ago.
So she puts her foot down, she needs a tire protector one born from her very essence to remove the corruption so her people and children no longer have to suffer.
Who better than her dead child, her dead Robin. She can bring him back to haunt her streets, to prowl, to hunt, to kill. He gets to live again and she gets someone who can finally uproot the taint that's buried itself deep and refuses to leave

Jason Todd grew up with a fundamental fear of being seen. Not in the sense of shyness, but in the sense of shame. He supposed, if he wished to contemplate the fear’s origins, he might start where most tragedies do:
The house he grew up in.
Where the act of wanting was as good as a death sentence to that desire.
He supposed he might even make an argument for the statement “people become what they are called”. He thinks that might have some merit, looking back.
What he fears most, (like most other people), is how obvious it is to others. The fear itself.
He wonders if they can see it.or
Thanks to a rogue meta, the batfam gets to watch Jason's memories like a movie; and Jason just really wants a family again. But you cannot be loved if you aren't known, and well... if circumstances provide? might as well take the chance, right?

Gotham City Police Department Detective (Senior Grade) Sally "Sal" Yun's most recent sting netted Internal Affairs and the FBI forty-three felony indictments against eight GCPD officers and netted Sal a promotion to Detective Senior Grade, a prestigious transfer to Major Crimes, and a quiet personal promise from Chief Vitelli that Senior Grade was as far as she would go.
Sal's caught a new case. It seems Vice has lost one of their informants and they’ve decided to dump the case on Major Crimes after the snitch told somebody that a dead rogue called the “Red Hood” was back in town.

Jason still squints at him suspiciously. “What do you want from me, ‘Toby?’”
“Nothing,” comes the flat reply as ‘Toby’ puts his bowl in the sink and sits at the table. “I found you on my way to other things. You're more've’a side quest than a main objective, kid.”
