Summary
Phainon’s life has always been ideal and ambitious — he crosses off every achievement like a to-do list. Move out of his small homeworld and study in a prestigious college in the Planet of Festivities? Check. Take up law school at the University of Veritas Prime to chase bigger dreams? Check.
But then, in a fit of madness coupled with an existential crisis, he leaves everything behind, travels across the galaxy, and moves to Okhema, a city in Amphoreus seemingly dipped in the past.
His half-remembered dreams lead him to a library cafe, where he meets a beautiful blonde man who looks like he holds all the answers.
Now, if only Phainon can stop pissing him off.

Blood.
It was everywhere, suspended in a blur of curling tendrils and clouds like crimson cigarette smoke, and please god, let it be his own, this time.
Let the wound be his.
Let his hands be numb but cleansed, finally, in waters that would end his abhorrent life.
William closed his eyes and felt himself surrender to it once more.
And, just like every other time he’d found himself sinking, hopeless, dying …
Warmth embraced his face. There was light again, and a figure — that angelic image, haloed above him, and then contact at his lips —
Heat coursed through his chest, and he gasped raggedly against the mouth of a man whom he was — physically — little more than acquainted with, and yet — existentially — seemed stitched soul to soul.
Live. We both must live.

Summary
After meeting William, Sherlock would encounter moments where he considered peeling the rug back and daydreaming again. A life where the only responsibilities to be carried were refilling the coffee pot and washing dishes. He got just that, but with an additional burst of happiness that latched onto William. He realized then that maybe his dream wasn’t to get away.
It was to fall in love.
