Summary
Violet and Nox are discovered by a staff member at Sugar Springs library, and put up for sale at Facebook marketplace. Chase finds them (thanks to Prunella's online presence) and brings them 'home'. He soon learns that it takes more than just a rescue and empty promises for a place to truly feel like home.

What would happen if Chase entered a historical fiction? What if he and Buddy stopped fighting and started acting on their feelings for each other? It sounds great, but being a heroine or villainess in the misogynistic real world isn't exactly a fairy tale. When the heroine Luviathan Kimester is met with a moral dilemma, Chase will soon learn that heroines and villainesses aren't so different after all.
