Despite their different mannerism and consent awkward stares at each other before looking away from each other. They are determined to find the trigger, and maybe find some feeling for each other on the way.

Summary
Silver stood there in front of him, wearing that dark jacket of his that made his light features stand out even more. Some of his quills stood higher, as if the hedgehog was tense and anxious. But more importantly, Silver kept occasionally lingering his gaze somewhere else, his lips were in a thin line and one of his ears kept occasionally flicking. The smallest of snuffles escaped him, Shadow almost missed it.
Silver looked scared, as if he just saw a ghost.
“...Silver?” He spoke even quieter as he noticed this. His own nervousness was soon replaced by worry. “Are you alright?”
Shadow blinked and suddenly the other was melting into his arms. The latter had to slightly lean in to rest his head on the top of Shadow’s shoulder, his arms carelessly hugging his torso.“I’m sorry.” The white hedgehog muttered, as if too fearful of saying it, yet said it anyway - loud enough to make sure he was heard. “I’m sorry.” He repeated, and Shadow was sent back to January of 2011.
OR:
Silver can't stop thinking about the past, Shadow can't stop wondering about the future. Both hedgehogs are different, yet similar. Thus, they try to explore that.
