"Right. Where were we?
𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘴.
Though that makes it sound far more charming and far less complicated than it was. It was Paris, yes, but it was also Aurelia's engagement, Anne’s laugh, Ominis being the only reasonable person in any room, and me trying very hard not to ruin things simply by wanting too much.
Still. Did you miss me?"

Summary
Hello! This is going to be a collection of one shots/scenes that I wrote out while drafting the Serpents & Secrets series. From things that I really enjoyed writing but didn't quite make the cut -- to things that happen "off screen" -- landing around--well--whatever I damn please. :)
As always, enjoy. <3

Summary
My very first fic! This is the first installment of three! It took me well over a year to finish this story (and plan the other books) but I'm so excited to finally share it here with you all. Sorry in advance if it’s not your thing. There are a few minor canon changes that I explain in the prologue (as well as introduce our fmc!) & to be fair, in my own defense--YOU are my beta reader so--gg.
! ! COMPLETE ! !
((next installment has begun <3))

"My mind wasn’t at the table.
I’d rehearsed my words for him all summer.
A hundred versions.
A thousand.
Each sharper than the last. Controlled disappointment. Bitten back anger. Maybe a slap. Maybe something worse. And beneath every draft? The same humiliating hope that he would just look at me and say that he was sorry. So, where the bloody hell—𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘩𝘦?
The feast moved around us with its old, clockwork precision and I played my part without thinking. A smile here. A polite nod there. But my gaze kept slipping back—
toward the doors,
toward the dark,
toward the spaces he should have filled.Still empty.
Still 𝘯𝘰 Sebastian.”- 𝘼𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙖 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙬
