Amidst blurry vision and indistinguishable shapes, Robert always catches the face of a certain friend of his.
Feathers spread almost dramatically on top of the man’s mask; a pattern of vibrant purple, green, and yellow that felt almost alluring. His all too familiar face was a blur, with certain defining features being somewhat visible in Robert’s haze. Yellow patterns decorated the mask, painted with extraordinary delicacy.
And whether or not the illusive figure in front of him really was Roy or not, Robert was reaching the point of insanity.

Taking advantage of the closeness Diamond had put between the two of them, Roy twirled his fingers around Diamond’s necktie to get a good grip before giving it a firm tug to reel them down, now meeting face-to-face with them instead of having to look up to see them. His boldness to his manager wasn’t expected, and Diamond found it hard to even speak when they were this close to him, staring into his eyes blankly as the words had been knocked right out of their mouth.
“You must be crazy,” He hissed, his voice dropping to a much quieter tone, he was able to feel the fabric of Diamond’s tie beneath his fingers, the material smooth and silky. With a scowl on his face, he continued. “I’m not doing all of your dirty work. You’re aware of that, right?”

As you shamelessly bit into the lava cake like it was your last meal, Lloyd took sips of his drink, suspiciously not making much conversation at the moment, simply looking outside the window, he did give you a smile when he caught you staring, with foamed milk on his lips before he licked it away.
You noticed how unusually quiet he was, he often used to initiate conversation almost always and comment on some events throughout his day or talk about some of the customers he had pleasant interactions with. He’d even indulge you in his personal life as of late and throw in some names of his family here and there. No matter how miniscule or how major whatever happened was, you always took the time to listen. However, it then became routine over the last two weeks or so for him to seem unenthusiastic or even dread having to go to work the next day, and he never went on his ramblings about his day anymore. You always were looking forward to those, no matter how you were feeling that day.

Summary
The boat’s engine roared as Dan sped through the water, slightly cold as it hit his skin- a soothing relief to the hot and humid air of summertime. Yet it wasn’t like the heat of the countryside down where he lived, that was for sure. His heart pounded with adrenaline, his eyes glued to the distant piece of land- Hallam Island. The household seemed peaceful from far away, yet isolated and gloomy. He wondered if all of it was enough to push Robert over the edge.
Dan knew something was wrong ever since Robert had called him earlier in a panic, blabbering nonsense that was barely coherent before hanging up. The urgency in his voice was too much to ignore, even if it had happened countless times before when he would be suffering another panic attack. Dan was so fucking glad he was visiting Berwyn today.
