Summary
The easiest thing would be to clear His Highness’s name by presenting them with the real culprit of the Gilded Banquet. The trouble with that was that, since routing Qi Rong’s den a few weeks ago, Hua Cheng had yet to discover the worm’s newest hiding hole. He immediately directed his butterflies to search, but who knew how long that would take? And in the interim, who knew what could befall His Highness?
Hua Cheng would have to intervene. He’d bring His Highness to Paradise Manor and keep him there until Qi Rong could be found and his name cleared. As greatly as he’d fucked up, as unworthy he was to even look at his God, he still had to intervene and prevent Xie Lian from accepting further punishment and martyring himself.
Hua Cheng took out his dice and steeled himself.

Summary
Xie Lian and Hua Cheng celebrate their wedding, then their wedding night.
Mount Taicang was forested in maple and cherry trees. At its summit lay a broken-down temple to an old and near forgotten god.
On most nights, the mountain was silent except for the howling of wolves, empty except for the wild beasts that resided in its forest. On this night, however, the full moon shone down on a bridal procession winding its way up the rugged mountain paths.
It was a strange and demonic procession. The sedan had a golden canopy and was shrouded by red satin drapes. It was carried by four, abnormally large golden skeletons that sang loudly as they sprinted along, their path illuminated by dozens of ghost fires swirling about like will-o’-the-wisps and a cloud of glowing silver butterflies.
Within the sedan, Xie Lian sat, veiled and expectant.Series

Summary
In which Xie Lian bets himself in the Gambler's Den sometime before his third ascension, jumps to a lot of conclusions, and bangs a Ghost King.
Excerpt:
The figure behind the curtain seemed to study him. “And what will the honorable daozhang bet as his stakes?”
Here, Xie Lian was at a bit of a loss. What was he willing to risk, for the possibility of finding Wu Ming? “I am truly humble. I own nothing but the clothes on my back. All I have to bet is myself and my time, I suppose. Would twenty years of service suffice?”
The crowd exploded into commentary again. Truly, this seemed to be quite the spectator event.
“Work him hard, Chengzhu!” someone shouted.
“I see what that sly daozhang is getting at,” someone else commented. “He is pretty, however. Hopefully Chengzhu gets good use out of him.”Series

Summary
A plan formed in the back of Xie Lian’s mind, driven by hormones and the madness of grief. Wu Ming was an omega going into his heat. Xie Lian was an alpha. He could mark Wu Ming, mate him. Bonded omegas rarely left their alphas. It would tie him to Xie Lian irrevocably.
It was a terrible, ruinous plan. Evil at its core, for someone like Xie Lian to steal away such a beautiful, devoted omega from his chosen beloved.
Xie Lian was going to do it anyway.
