“When you were in the shower,” he began carefully. “I…had a look at the data your watch collected about the Wanderer that attacked you…it’s venom—I guess we can call it that—acts almost like an…aphrodisiac when it gets into the bloodstream of a human being,” he continued. “That is why you are…feeling…the way you feel right now. This isn't what you truly want.”
“Oh.”
Well, that explains it. Explains the sensitivity, the ache, the slow unravelling of your reason and restraint.
But Zayne is wrong about one thing because you’ve always wanted him, in this way and so much more. It was just never something you had the confidence to pursue, at least, without the aid of a so-called aphrodisiac coursing through your veins.
“Then help me.”
Zayne’s eyes widened, eyebrows rising halfway to his hairline.
