Il me tend la torche et se met à creuser la terre collante. Il souffle, la chaleur de son corps dégage une faible vapeur, de la boue macule ses joues mal rasées. Il sent le whisky bon marché et l’aftershave, je ne devrais pas, mais j’aime cette odeur. Elle est familière, me rappelle ce que j’ai perdu et ce que j’ai trouvé.
Je crois qu’il m’en veut encore. Ce ne sont pas des choses que nous nous disons. nous échangeons peu.
L’ange du jeudi… Mon cul.
Le Chasseur ne vit plus que sur la route, il erre seul, la plupart du temps. Il va de chasse en chasse, de monstres en cauchemars, jusqu'à ce que ces derniers prennent une tout autre ampleur. Dans les ténèbres quelque chose rode et corrompt les monstres et les chimères, décime les chasseurs.
