Summary
Ambrosius could sometimes experience the feeling of nostalgia, whether on an ordinary boring day he felt a familiar smell or an item resembling of a carefree childhood. But with the arrival of Nimona, this began to happen more often, much more often, and now he has to figure out not only his distant Institute’s past, but also the future, frightening with its uncertainty, that only awaits them ahead. And along the way, rethink his whole life and eventually come to a pretty interesting conclusion.

When he accidentally left his sketchbook on the street, he’d never thought that it would be found by someone Ambrosius had feelings for, leading to a series of events with unforeseen consequences.

There certainly was no other logical explanation for why Lord Ballister Blackheart, notorious villain, would reply in the affirmative to a middle-of-the-night message from Sir Ambrosius Goldenloin, Champion of the Realm, asking simply: “Awake? :)”
