At this point, Delton had been thinking about it for a few weeks. He wasn’t ever planning to bring it up. It felt dirty, in a way. He’s never been one to judge–and, honestly, he’d probably be more fascinated than anything if someone else confided in him about it–but with his history and hangups and Gale’s history and hangups? It felt like a perversion of his and Gale’s relationship.
That didn’t keep him from calling Gale Daddy in his head.

They did not marry, for it was neither of their custom. They did not settle in a house with a pet, waiting for a child to arrive. They rarely spoke outside of screams. Whether they were in passion or anger depended on the hour.
They did not love, for it was not in their nature. They could only possess.
Two lost causes. Two hopeless cases. It was no wonder that when their daughter cried out, He Who Endures–a god of the persecuted, the oppressed, the neglected and abused–listened.
Most would think Maven never had a chance, was doomed by a cycle of abuse from the start. Her god disagrees.

Summary
Delton was used to loneliness. His treks as a ranger often rendered him no company aside from the animals he met, fleeting relationships that dissipated when he moved on. While he pivoted to being a cleric of Ilmater, that had not provided him with much kinship either. He did not expect to become the leader of a ragtag group, joined together by uninvited illithid tadpoles, nor the pseudo-family of a teenage girl who can’t remember her own past. This, combined with a love interest intent on blowing himself up and a cult of fanatics, makes him miss the wild that he once called home.
Maven didn’t remember much except screaming, specifically her own. She woke up on an illithid ship with nothing but her own name. Meeting Delton was the greatest thing that had happened on an overarchingly awful day. However, with a cult at their heels and war on the horizon, her forgotten memories were the last thing on anyone’s mind. She’s just glad she managed to find a family, even if she had to walk through hell to do it.

Scotty's lips twitch into a smile for a moment before his expression once again becomes serious, though Jim is thankful for the fact that the engineer's weapon has been lowered to the man's side. It means that this Scotty doesn’t see him as a risk.
“Now I know that at least one of those things are not true. Captain Pike is the Commander of this ship, not you.”
Kirk stares at the man in red and smiles at the fact that Scotty is so calm and collected regarding this not so small inconsistency. Time to test that calm to its limits.“Actually, everything I said is true, just not in this universe. I think I may have been accidentally transported to a different dimension… universe… reality… whatever you want to call it.”
An ion storms leads to Jim Kirk travelling to a different universe, where he meets a different Spock. Things get interesting to say the least.

Their new clan kin is nice and makes them laugh, but there's something off about him. Seeing raw meat makes his eyes go cold. His blood whispers at him to do awful things. That's alright with Tav, though. They know what it's like not to trust your mind—to be haunted by your past.

This fic is intended as a semi-novelization of the game, with some expansions to canon, some filler for plot holes, and a lot of Forgotten Realms/tabletop lore with a big focus on bards and artificers.
