An AU of an AU written by the very talented Pakeha in which we explore the possibilities of Uncle Jonathan's grasp - and, more importantly, what happens when it is not strong enough to hold back a headstrong teenager who doesn't have the faintest clue what he's doing... but jumps in headfirst anyway. Summary
Merida Cousland had been raised a devout Andrastian; she had never had cause to doubt the existence of the Maker or the wisdom of that belief. The core rules were simple and sensible - kindness, compassion, justice, charity, honor, loyalty… these were all virtues she could understand and strive toward. That being said, however, Merida had always existed firmly inside this realm. The mysticism surrounding the faith she had belonged to all her life had flown almost entirely over her head. Such things made for good stories around a roaring winter’s fire, but that was all. She was no Fade-wandering mage and preferred it that way. This world she knew; this world she understood, even if she didn’t always like it.
Little did she know just exactly how deeply entangled in magic and mysticism her life already was.

Summary
Alex is bored after a few years in China and is looking for work on the more ‘dangerous’ side of archaeology. Guns have gone out of fashion and imperialism is on the down turn, but he’s still the son of a gun slinger and a librarian and he needs some adventure.
Word that an underground Egyptian artifact dealer is always looking for new hands to assist in locating and identifying artifacts is exactly the sort of thing Alex is interested in.

Summary
Originally written in response to a prompt on the Dragon Age Kinkmeme. Three years after the events of Act 3, Anders and Justice are separated, but everything goes wrong in the process. Fenris is a gladiator (sort of) and Anders wears a Saarebas collar (sometimes) and Danarius's summer pavilion factors in heavily. The high peaks of Sundermount were quiet that day. What the others noticed most was the silence—no strain of the bowstring as arrows were notched from high above, nor the hushed shiver of elvhen hunters, not wind, hiding behind the leaves.
