There’s time. He had time for this. For a cigarette, for a conversation. For whatever Majima wanted to say to him. Kiryu knew he was being too generous, but his own way – the way he also wanted to be loyal to, as much as the lost decade of his life would allow – left him feeling an obligation to Majima despite his bruises.
Kiryu nodded and stepped up to the bin.

Polnareff lights up red, “I don’t know- I kinda’ think its an excellent idea.”

It was the third time in an hour that Jean Pierre Polnareff had rubbed sunscreen into his skin. He spent most of his time out of the sun, when he could, and when he couldn’t, he made sure to wear clothing that would keep most of his skin covered.
Some might think that he was just taking more precautions to avoid sunburn, which is a totally acceptable reason.
Except, that wasn’t the reason.
He really couldn’t care less if he got sunburn or not, no. The reason he was trying to avoid exposure to the sun was for something else entirely.
