It's the perfect deal for him, he gets to fight a really powerful enemy all the while enjoying the beautiful landscapes and tasty cuisine. So what if he's going to be hated by the locals by the time he leaves, after all? It's just business, after all, nothing more and nothing less. He won't be setting foot in Liyue ever again, so why should he be worried about his reputation in a foreign land.
Little did he know he would soon be eating back those words.

Whenever Narancia found out that there was something he knew how to do and Fugo didn't, he took it upon himself to teach Fugo, and wouldn't rest until his knowledge had been passed on. That had happened when Narancia had discovered that his best friend didn't know how to ride a bike, wire cars, use a slingshot, cook scrambled eggs, whistle with his fingers, and who knows how many other things.
In hindsight, Fugo must have assumed that given his record, when Narancia found out that he didn't know how to kiss, he would try to do something about it.
