He can see ghosts, which means he still has family. Still has Shisui, and all the aunts and uncles and cousins and distant relatives he didn’t even know before. Still has mother, her kind smile and her knowledge. Still has father, as well, although Fugaku stays distant most days, wallowing in regrets and things that make the air around him terribly cold.
Sasuke is glad, selfishly, for that small mercy.
He could have lived without the ghost drama, though....
Or: the one where Sasuke can see ghosts, and things aren't as bad as they could be.

Summary

After the end of the Clone Wars and the fall of the Jedi, Jedi Knight Sohsa Nelem went into hiding like most of the surviving Jedi. Making her living as a ship mechanic, Sohsa believed her days as a warrior were over, and she would watch as the Empire rose to power from her new world. But the Force doesn't abandon all its chosen users so lightly, as Sohsa is brought back into the fight when members of her old Clone Squad find her to help them resces their captain. Sohsa, hesitant to rejoin the same squad that turned their guns on her, agrees to help them get their captain back. With this new mission laid before her, she seeks to help her old captain and squad be free from the Empire and pick their path. But this mission will not be easy; she will need help from past allies, confront her guilt and shame from the past, cross blades with an old lover, and face down a growing shadow, hidden within the Empire, that is seeking out Sohsa to bring her into the fold of the Empire.

OR now stuck in a place where no Uchiha Massacre happened, and where both ostracised boys family's are still living and breathing, Sasuke and Naruto both respectively take turns in freaking out, learn unexpected truths, and survive the lone snake that followed.

Peter shakes his head, eyes dropping to look downwards. Gluing themselves to the table. His fingers still.
“Can you make a latte? Or, a steamed milk hot cocoa?” Evelyn tilts her head, trying to catch Peter’s eyes.
He shakes his head again.
Evelyn takes a deep breath and lowers her eyes back onto Peter's application. “I couldn’t help but notice you’ve left a question blank. Why don’t we go over it now?” She prompts and begins to read the last question on the form. “Describe a specific situation where you have provided excellent customer service in your most recent position.”
“I haven’t done anything but mess a lot of things up for people.” Peter dismisses immediately.
