Realization seems to settle in, causing Anakin’s expression to soften. “Fives, it’s 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 against you. It’s just something that needs to be done.”
Fives shakes his head. “But why? I have done nothing but serve this battalion with 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 fiber of my being! This is where I belong!”
Fives survives, but at a cost. He knows General Skywalker, Rex, Jesse, and even Kix are hiding something from him. What are they hiding? And why does Fives' gut tell him something is terribly wrong? Not only that, but Rex and Anakin inform him that he's being transferred to another squad. As if things couldn't get any worse.

It -” He starts and pauses, presses his lips together and stares absently over her shoulder, choosing his words carefully. “It’s not just what he went through, Omega. Getting you home, bringing down Tantiss, finally feeling safe… I think it’s the first he’s really let his mind grapple with losing Tech. With… how we lost Tech.”
