Summary
Now that she was looking for it, Nancy couldn’t stop noticing the way they acted around each other—Eddie leaning familiarly across Steve to grab the dice, Steve passing Eddie his lighter and cigarettes without being asked. Was there something more than friendship between the two of them?
“Nance, it’s your turn,” said Steve.
Nancy jumped.
“Uh—my turn to what?”
“Roll,” said Eddie, laughing, cigarette smoke escaping from his mouth and nose.
“Sorry, it’s the, uh, the brownies,” Nancy said. She rolled, and the dice scattered all over the place, one of them falling to the floor.
“Sorry,” she muttered again, and bent under the table to pick up the stray die. As she did so, she saw Steve hastily withdraw his hand from between Eddie’s thighs. Nancy grabbed the missing die from the carpet and sat back up, banging her head painfully against the edge of the table as she did so.
“Ouch! Are you okay?” asked Steve.
“Absolutely,” said Nancy. “Never better.”

Summary
The minutes dragged on, the tension building, someone was singing ABBA’s Mamma Mia, and then four people walked onto the stage, and the crowd exploded in cheers and whistles, and Steve thought he might have a heart attack, actually, because he knew these people – there was Robin Buckley who he’d briefly worked with in that godawful ice cream place a couple years ago, there was Jeff something something who Steve remembered stealing lunch money from in middle school, there was another guy who looked vaguely familiar but who Steve couldn’t place, and then there was Eddie fucking Munson.
Steve remembered Eddie. Remembered watching him and talking about him and laughing at him behind his back and other stuff, stuff he’d rather forget, stuff he was still trying to make up for, stuff he didn’t want the kids to find out about ever because if they did, they were sure to write him off, and Steve would deserve it, was the thing.
And then Eddie started playing his guitar and started singing and Steve’s mind went blank.***

He can see Robin giving him a curios look, but Eddie avoids looking at her. He didn’t want to answer questions about his damn crush on Steve freaking Harrington and how he keeps getting more perfect by the minute. Eddie needs him to stop, like literally right now.
“Oh my god,” Dustin screams, making Eddie look at him from across the room. Eddie finds him staring at someone, so he follows his line of sight and finds one Steve Harrington, yeah, that one, the one he just asked a second ago to stop being perfect? Yeah, that guy is standing at the bottom of the stairs with a crumpled box in his hands and is wearing glasses.
Steve Harrington just exceeded perfect.

Eddie Munson is a top. It’s in his bones, his bloodstream, hell, maybe even his DNA. It’s simply meant to be that way. Birds fly, fish swim, and Eddie fucks men, and he does it very well.
It’s not that Eddie hasn’t bottomed before. He’s hooked up with more than a few guys during his time, but it was never anything real; just a few hurried, meaningless things when he’s gone out of town.
He’s a slow lover, a caring one who feels his partner’s pleasure like it’s his own. Sure, he likes being in control, but it’s not only for him. Prep is like prayer; it has to be done with intention and devotion. And as much as he loves giving it to others, he’s too squirmy and impatient to stay still and take it for himself. So.
