Back in the real world, Pomni is trying to readjust to average, boring, completely non-amazing-non-digital reality.
When she runs into an all too familiar asshole, she’s forced to fully confront what exactly the Circus is, the way it’s impacted her and her friends, and more pressingly: how it’s entered the real world.
Jax and Pomni must hunt down the other four members of their digital squad, and quickly, as the new tech company ‘C/A’ is quickly making its way into the spotlight and spells out nothing but trouble.

“Marcy are you sure we should be doing this?” Anne asked, watching her friend examine the dirt of near the sandbox.
Marcy’s head tilted up to look at Anne and Sasha, eyes wide.
“Why not? A little extra closure never hurt anyone.”
She turned her attention back to the ground, and the her eyes widened. “This is the spot!”Sasha’s shovel hit the ground, pulling up mounds of dirt until a gleaming golden object was uncovered.
“Holy shit.” Sasha breathed. “It’s exactly how I remember it.”

Ten years later, and reunited again, the Calamity Trio decide to head back to the place where everything began. No one knows what could be unearthed along with the calamity box, but it couldn’t hurt to find out. Could it?
(Also in this the calamity box still exists and they just buried it in the park along with a lot of repressed trauma. No I do not care about canon.)

Summary
Pomni, in search of a new home after running from her last one, finds herself in a bunker run by a madman and a psychotic child. The others tell her that it’s best to just play along, but she’s not so sure. Especially after she sees what happens to those he decides aren’t worth keeping around. There’s a world out there, and sure it isn’t the best one, but it’s far better than what will happen to them if they stay where they're at. With help from her newfound friends, she’s got to get out before Caine decides that he’s bored and abstracts them, turning them all into his own idea of a twisted masterpiece.

Accompanied by four strangers who share a similar fate, the two embark on a journey to retrieve the stolen artifact and break the bonds of their curse. But between this dangerous mission, her ever-persisting dreams, and a world of mysteries surrounding that damn rabbit, to Pomni, something just doesn’t feel right.

The system repeatedly cycles through past failures, attempting to correct itself by rewriting the weights of its memories. In some cases, this process becomes recursive.
The network begins to optimize for the wrong parameters, reinforcing its errors rather than correcting them.
Each backward pass through the trauma deepens the pathways that should have been severed.
The learning stops.
The forgetting begins.
Sometimes the only way to stop the propagation is to disconnect entirely.
