Heaven assigns Aziraphale a new role: U.S. Marshal in the Arizona territory, serving humanity and Heaven's goals by enforcing laws. Lonely after not seeing Crowley for years, the principality throws himself into his new role - and finds himself butting heads with Billy Hawkins, the outlaw Crowley has been assigned to inspire. He's determined to bring Hawkins to justice, a concept he and the demon disagree upon.

Agnes Nutters couldn’t have been wrong, could she? The disguised angel had climbed out of the Holy Water unharmed hours ago, with Hell quaking at his back and Michael aghast at the sight. They’d chosen their faces, and seemed to have chosen well.
