Summary

The seven of the eight travelers are struck down by plague in Orewell after the events of Alfyn's chapter 4. In a feverish state, Alfyn can only seem to keep a stable head by reminiscing over his feelings for a certain thief who is currently running around against his will to keep these idiots alive. But he, himself, is an idiot who can't bear to ask for help. Even when he needs to face Darius.

All Might never dropped the slime villain. Midoriya never got One For All. Hopelessness burns admiration into resentment. Saved from his own self-disgust of being quirkless by a soon-to-be half fire/half ice hero, a new obsession arises. And Shigaraki is more than happy to take in an upcoming villain with hatred that mirrors his own. He’ll even help get anything and anyone he wants.
But what happens when a villain gets a soft spot? Can villains even have those? It’s a little weird but they figure it out. And it gets even weirder when Todoroki family drama is involved. And a dog apparently. Maybe the bad guys are just little broken and fate has cursed them to be that way. Or maybe someone’s been pulling the strings since the day All Might turned his back on Midoriya on that rooftop.
Midoriya x Todoroki: toxic obsession gone… well? (Give them time, they’re working on it)
Shigaraki x Dabi: lowkey roommates to lovers (And they’re both weirded out about it)

Summary
The darkness is a monster of its own.
It bore its many teeth and claws, and watches with its many eyes. Its senses are sharp as it lies in wait for passing victims. It makes no sound as its prey was taken by one, two, multitudes of spindly limbs that are cold as death itself.
Its gaze was fixated on Temenos who bore the burden of keeping this monster satiated. He had brought back the dawn, yet its light did not keep this darkness at bay. It presents itself as Arcanette’s gleaming eyes and venomous smile. It dances in visions of his losses and smells of rot. It is cruel and ugly, uncaring as it sinks its maw into the meat of Temenos’ mind.
It’s terribly inconvenient, Temenos thinks to himself as he gazes up at a dark ceiling, swirling and pulsating, to have been unable to sleep for more than a few hours the past few nights.

Phantom pains cling to Temenos, cold and biting. Yet, the warmth Crick provides is able to drive them away.
