She comes to him once a year. Adorned in Carja silks and the tiara he once gifted her long ago. He stands at that balcony each year on the anniversary of the Battle of the Alight. Pretends he can see the statue he had built in admiration of her from where he is, hears the celebrations in her honour in the streets. A reminder that she’s never truly gone.
He waits for her there, taking in the constellations that crowd the sun soaked bridges of rock. He can always feel the air change just when she is about to pull herself up over the bannister. And then there she is, all fire swept behind the pale gleam of moonlight. And though she moves like a shadow she’s bright like a solar flare.

Summary

Aloy has only had Rost for most of her life, but soon after the Proving, an illness took him, leaving Aloy within a tribe that still shuns her. One day, strange people show up and Aloy is tasked to go with them in order to marry the Sun King as his queen.
Neither like the idea of a political marriage, but luckily, this unlikely pair has a particular Guard that knows how to make love sparkle in the realm of politics.
Avad/Aloy adventures and schemes where the story is given a different perspective and a different beginning.

The network of machines that constitutes her consciousness doesn't feel so different than the neurons of a brain. The woman is standing near the console, the same height as Aloy. Same color red hair, but shorter. Her face is different in that it looks older, with more pronounced smile lines. She looks tired. Worn. It's Elisabet in a way Aloy has never seen her before, without the holo's filter of blue light layered over her image. Real and tangible.

Aloy helps restore GAIA. In return, GAIA decides to bring back Elisabet, and that's where things get messy.
