Finn is doing the same, looking at her through the wing mirror, smiling wide with Catra’s bubble gum in their mouth as they put their arm all the way out of the window. Catra turns around, one hand on the wheel as she sticks her tongue out.

Summary
She hears a soft thud and whipped her head up, a small squeak of surprise passing her lips. Catra relaxes when she realizes it was the window washer.
The woman’s eyes were so expressive—it’s like they’re yelling, are you ok?
Catra purses her lip and plops her head to rest on her hand, looking out at the attractive woman. She makes a show of rubbing her eyes tired and then making a frown upset.
The other woman frowns in return, one of her hands tight on her harness and the other searching the bucket at her hip. She pulls out her brush and Catra turns back to her computer, trying to make sense of the few notes she’s been given access to, until she hears another knock at the window.
The corners of her lips involuntarily turn up as she sees the smiley face drawn into the foam.

“You’d be a terrible nurse, though.”
It was Catra’s turn to scoff in offence, lightly tapping her wife’s arms as she melted into them. Adora reached over her round bump and left her hand pressed against the side, rubbing gentle circles.
“I’d be a great nurse,” Catra said petulantly after a moment.
“Your bedside manner could use work,” Adora joked.
“Just don’t do that again, okay?”
“Never.”

“Are you sure?” Adora asks, snatching the plastic from his hands.

“Catra?” Adora asked, realising the other girl hadn’t noticed her walk in.
Catra jumped a little, and turned away from the door, hiding her face. Another rumble of thunder and the girl gripped her ears tightly, rocking back and forth.
“Catra, it’s just me,” Adora said, creeping closer. She put a hand on Catra’s back and she hissed – like a cat – before opening her eyes, finally seeing Adora. Her cheeks flushed red, and her head dropped. “Why’d you run?”

Summary
“Hey Adora, how’s it hanging?” A familiar voice spoke, a feline face peeking over the gap.
“Catra,” Adora said, putting as much venom into the word as she could muster. Before Catra could act, a flurry of blue and white flew over the hatch, grappling the Magicat. Adora pulled herself up and to her feet to see Netossa and Catra exchanging blows.
“Oh Princess, can’t fight your own battles?” Catra smiled as she dodged a punch.
“Netossa, go help the others,” Adora drew her sword and readied herself. “This one’s mine.”
Adora lunged forward as Netossa stepped to the side. With the flat of her blade, Adora hit Catra, sending her stumbling backwards. Not one to be knocked down, Catra adjusted her stance and smiled.
“Oh Adora,” Catra cooed, leaping over Adora’s swinging blade, landing gracefully behind the blonde to whisper in her ear. “What are you doing after this?”

“Wait, what?” Frosta looked between Adora and the door a few times, before her eyes went wide and she yelled, “that wasn’t you?”

Summary
The radio was taunting her. First, she was stuck home with her brother and parents on New Year’s Eve, when she could be at Scorpia’s house with all of her friends. And Catra. Instead, because of an argument that got a little out of hand (and totally wasn’t Adora’s fault), she and Adam were stuck at home. Without Catra. And the radio was taunting her.
It started with ‘Maneater’. Sure, it would be pretty tame if Adam hadn’t looked Adora directly in the eye, wiggled his eyebrows and said, “Are you a man eater?”
Adora just spluttered and took another gulp of her drink. What was she supposed to say to that?

Summary
Catra has yet to pick up her jaw from the footwell, but stomps on the gas nonetheless, narrowly missing some minivan as she pulls onto the street. It takes at least a minute for Catra’s brain to reboot and realise what is happening. Adora is in her car. On her wedding day. Driving away from her wedding. Adora is a runaway bride.
“Holy shit, you’re a runaway bride,” Catra says when she regains the ability to speak.
“I just left my wedding,” Adora says, the implications suddenly dawning on her. “I just left my wedding! Why did I do that!”

Catra hurriedly made her way through the usually busy streets of Brightmoon, headed straight for the bus stop a block away from her apartment. Wait. Catra stopped in her tracks, taking a moment to survey her surroundings. Where is everyone? The street was empty, save for a parked car or two. Not a single person in sight. Catra stood and listened for a few minutes, desperate to hear the rumble of a car engine, or the sound of someone grumbling about their morning commute, hell Catra would settle for the sound of an insect or two right about now. But the sound never came. All Catra heard was the sound of her own suddenly erratic breathing.
