Max Verstappen spent his entire life hearing that he would be an alpha.
Alphas win. Alphas handle pressure. Alphas don’t need to ask permission to exist.
Omegas, on the other hand, are treated like risks — bodies too unstable for a sport built on absolute control. And in Formula 1, control is everything.So Max learns early on to hide anything that seems “wrong.” The need for closeness. The comfort he finds in his mother’s nests. The constant fear of being seen as weak. Because if the world already closed doors to someone as talented as his mother, there would be no space at all for him.
But secrets have an expiration date.
As the years pass, the championships pile up, Red Bull starts collapsing around him, and suppressants stop being just a career guarantee and become a matter of survival, Max realizes that maybe the hardest thing isn’t continuing to win.
Maybe it’s believing someone would stay if he stopped pretending.

BREAKING NEWS: Crash halts Miami Grand Prix as race is red-flagged
The race is stopped on lap 48. Max Verstappen is airlifted to hospital and the crash report later reveals that he experienced a peak of 380Gs when he impacted the barrier—higher than any recorded survivable incident in motorsport history. The prognosis is grim, and only time will tell if Max will be the one to beat the odds.
As a result of the accident, the FIA scrambles to defend the 2026 regulations that so many drivers had already heavily contested.
Charles, meanwhile, has simpler priorities: he needs Max to wake up. The rest—whether they call off their friends-with-benefits arrangement or finally admit there's something more—can wait.

Summary
When Sebastian Vettel said “Everyone is a Ferrari fan”, he probably didn’t mean ‘even the Devil himself’.
Charles Leclerc is a demon who has disobeyed his superiors too many times, his punishment is to fufill the Devil’s wishes and help Ferrari win a world championship without revealing he’s anything other than human.

When the Archangels hear about the Devil's pointless little mission, they send one of their subordinates down in retaliation. They can't have the delicate balance of the universe being disrupted, even for something as small as this.
Max Verstappen is the angel chosen for the job.
OR
Demon!Charles has to win the world championship for Ferrari or face eternal damnation, Angel!Max is sent to stop him from causing havoc, they're both way more interested in racing than they should be, and driving fast cars isn’t the only guilty pleasure they indulge in….
