Summary
Der neue Fall der Drei Fragezeichen führt Justus, Peter und Bob in einen altes Luxushotel. Ein verschwundenes Gemälde enthüllt lang verborgene Geheimnisse. Die Untersuchung des Falls bringt selbst die erfahrenen Detektive an ihre Grenzen.
Während Justus wie gewohnt den Dingen auf den Grund gehen will, fühlt sich Bob zunehmend beobachtet – nicht nur von den Schatten des alten Hauses, sondern auch von Peter. Summary
Ein eigenbrötlerischer Mann mit Verfolgungswahn beauftragt die drei Fragezeichen, ihm zu helfen. Es geht um eine mutmaßliche Untergrundorganisation, die scheinbar überall ihre Finger im Spiel hat und gelegentlich Menschen verschwinden lässt. Schnell wird den Dreien klar, dass der Fall viel größer und gefährlicher ist, als ursprünglich angenommen.
Dazu kommt, dass Bob noch einen Haufen Gefühle hat, die er eigentlich lieber abstellen möchte. Er hatte wirklich gehofft, dass er es auf dem College schaffen würde, sich Peter aus dem Kopf zu schlagen, aber da hat er wohl die Rechnung ohne die Wohnheimsleitung gemacht. Die dachte nämlich, es wäre sicherlich eine tolle Idee, ihn und Peter dem gleichen Zimmer zuzuteilen.

Summary
As she gets closer, Tim is immediately drawn to her wide brown eyes; they are broadcasting her emotional state for everyone to see — some combination of eager and excited and nervous. The polar opposite of the cool and guarded expression he is careful to keep on his own face.
Angela turns to look at him, clearly trying to gauge his reaction before she whacks him with her bouquet and hisses, “That is your soon-to-be wife, Tim, not your new boot, so maybe chill out with the death glare. You shouldn’t be trying to intimidate her.”
Tim ignores her; he begs to differ. This woman is supposed to be his wife. Chosen by supposed experts to be his life partner, his perfect other half. He is sure as hell going to be assessing whether she measures up to his standards. The fact that he already knows all of this is bullshit honestly just makes him that much more inclined to prove it.
When she reaches the end of the aisle, she stops in front of him and tilts her head to smile up at him in this sweet, hopeful way that he simultaneously finds incredibly endearing and incredibly irritating — like he holds her fate in his hands, and she is counting on him not to f*ck it up.

Summary
Louis had always felt he was different, but he had never understood why.
At least until one particular event devasted him, turning his life upside down forever and bringing to the surface a past he didn't know, a present he thought he knew, and a series of unexpected events that will trigger the beginning of a future he's not sure he wants to live.

“You don't have permission to be here, let alone to look at confidential files,” he said, roughly snatching the file he still had in his hands and abruptly closing it, then doing the same with the others still open on the desk.
“I work here,” Louis snapped indignantly, standing up and facing him.
“Are you a cop? Show me your badge or permission,” the detective retorted impassively, raising an eyebrow.
“What? Look, mate, you just got here, so I forgive you for not knowing, but-”
“Mate?” the detective retorted, sliding a hand to touch the badge as if to emphasize his position. “Show me the permit or I'll arrest you.”
Louis gaped at him, because what alternate universe had he just been thrown into? He wasn't just threatening, he really was going to arrest him.
Louis hated him.

Summary
“Huh?” Harry asks, muffled by his forearm. He feels lips on his face and the tip of Louis’ nose against his ear when Louis repeats himself. Brain sluggish with sleep, it takes a moment for him to process the words, but his eyes snap open, and he’s met with darkness. He's got to be dreaming, there’s no way Louis just said what he thinks he said. “What did you say?”
He can see the vague shrug from Louis before he turns around to toss the towel with the pile of their discarded clothes. “Did you say…” he starts slowly, automatically slinging his arm around Louis as he gets back into bed and throws the blankets over them.
“That we should make a sex tape?” Louis asks rather nonchalantly for such a big proposition. He cuddles easily into the warm body and confirms, “Yes, I did.”

Summary
There were very few people who managed to get under Louis’ skin as effortlessly as Harry had, and even fewer who had done it in only a day and a half. It was quite an accomplishment, really. They’d only interacted a handful of times and yet Louis had the insatiable desire to slam the locker into that frustratingly well-defined face that never seemed to hold any expressions other than contempt and arrogance.
“That’s right. I do own the skies. And you wanna know why?” he sneered. Without his boots on, Louis was a fair bit shorter than Harry, his eyes pretty much level with Harry’s chin and his socked toes bumping into the boots of the other man, close enough that Louis could make out the tiny scar on Harry’s brow and the individual shades of emerald in his irises. He was handsome, but that only made Louis hate him more. Heart thumping heavily against his sternum and his hands balled into fists, Louis lifted his chin defiantly and plastered a coldhearted smirk across his lips. “Because I’m the best goddamn pilot here.”
