I did, Rumi wanted to blurt out. She'd gasped it as he'd slipped his hands beneath her jaw and pulled her up into a kiss on soft, plush lips. She'd whined it as he'd coaxed her over to the wall and slowly pulled down her shorts, stopping every second or so to press a kiss against her thighs.
Now, trapped in the embrace of his claws and the gaze of those deep, dark eyes, Rumi realised she'd forgotten how to refuse him.

Jinu suddenly stops at the other end of her bed and Rumi watches his face scrunch up in confusion before his head tips to the side comically dramatic like a puppy listening to a strange noise. She’s curious about what he’s looking at until she steps closer, peeks around his shoulder and feels her entire body run cold with mortification.
He points at the strap, then gives Rumi a look.
And then she realizes, in her mortified flailing and squeaking and face heating, that Jinu’s old-ass doesn’t know what a strapon is.

Rumi sees his presence as a death sentence for her. It's becoming hard enough to hide her patterns from Mira and Zoe. How is she supposed to hide a demon-gift sent by the demon lord of the Underworld?
He's clearly a trap, one that leaves her with no good choices. Every subsequent decision seems to magnify her patterns and drag her deeper into her demon heritage.
