Dream thought hiring a private chef was a good idea. And it was. At first.
Dream had realized he was screwed when Hob's warm, brown eyes lit up the minute he saw Orpheus. Taking the four year old's tiny hand in his own to shake, and hanging on to every word that came out of his mouth, few that they were.
The fact that he was handsome, too, didn't help Dream's plight in the slightest.
Which is how he has currently found himself standing over the kitchen island with Hob, Orpheus at preschool, brownies cooling on the counter, learning how to knead bread dough.

'400 year-old pocket knife restoration,' the title says, and the still thumbnail is a picture of an anonymous man's hands dipping an unidentified object – though he's willing to guess it's the aforementioned four-hundred year-old knife – into what looks like a baking soda bath.
And then it cuts to a video of the knife.
His knife.
Hob Gadling watches an ASMR video about knife restoration and gets a bit in his feelings about the whole thing (sometimes immortality isn't all it's cracked up to be). Thankfully, he has a friend who understands.

Crowley still wasn’t used to seeing Aziraphale in his battle regalia.
That beige naval uniform, with their ridiculously righteous shoulder pads, and a strict high collar instead of a friendly bowtie. There were medallions, pinned to the angel’s chest: commendations for smiting the Krakens, for defending the Eastern shores with War’s flaming sword.
“Angel,” Crowley greeted him, with a mock salute. “You’re headed back to Earth again?”

Or, Crowley would have been half-right: the Really Big One was all of Heaven and all of Hell united to fight against something. Except, the Krakens showed up eleven years early, and both sides would really like to save the world so the Antichrist can grow up to destroy it properly. Alternatively, the Pacific Rim-inspired AU where Crowley would really like Aziraphale to stay out of his mind, because secrets, and Aziraphale goes out of his own mind, because secrets.
(Knowledge of Pacific Rim isn’t necessary for this fic!)
