AAAAAAAAAAAAA THIS SERIES IS!! Is an absolute delight! The vibes, the characterization, the website/meme effort (This is particularly unique). Is rather inspiring! I think I will hold this series just a little closer to heart than other stories I've read, something about it resonates in a way I can't exactly explain. Maybe it's the push and pull of recovery? The continuity of plot? The exploration of themes? Just delicious!

So I've got two theories. One: Damian's love potion does fade but his trust in Danny doesn't; and thus he can easily regain said feelings. Or! Two: Nothing happens to Damian, almost as if the love potion faded away long before the antidote was drank. :3 interesting hehe!
Also fucking Love a love potion trope that isnt outrageously dub noncon, and is handled with the upmost honesty possible. I didn't even know that this trope could even be handled morally. Delicious.

I absolutely love the character writing in this one!!!!! The way the author has writes everyone feels so human! Its so easy to make all the vigilantes feel like constructed robots who retain all information and have the perfect responses. It's so nice to see Danny and Jazz have breakdowns, like damn. It's been a long time coming. And Damian slowly warming up to Jazz even if he doesn't realize it. Oh and the therapy session with the vultures was so amusing. Defo looking into the hinted sequel :3c

Danny would like to say for the record that it was not his fault.
In fact, Danny would say that it was entirely Clockwork's fault. After all, he wouldn't even be in this situation if it wasn't for that cryptic time god.
But what was his fault was the fact that he kept helping.
He kept taking the cash from the assholes messing with the residents who lived in the area (and damn there were a lot of assholes near where he lived). He kept accepting their offers of food. So because of this new routine that kept him able to afford to rent out his shitty (and possibly illegal) apartment and the hunger pangs sufficiently satisfied, rumors grew.
tldr; after Clockwork dropped of Danny in Gotham he tries to make the best out of the situation which includes helping out some people. Except along the way that led to rumors that he was an up-and-coming crime boss. A rumor he was largely unaware of.

It's funny how things work out that way.

An absolute delight of a read though it doesn't end conclusively kind of feels like there might be a sequel might not you never know. Though it's good, very good, would recommend. Check it out! Might come back to it in the future mostly just want to hold on to it you never know when you want to see another book or just kind of check it out and be like yeah I read that. Lots of ghost stuff goes on over my head but it's fucking nifty. A great first book in my day 1-2 of hyper fixation Danny Phantom week!
