Wilbur perks up. “Does he ice skate?”
“Yeah, he does. He’s got these sick skates and everything.” Tubbo explains. “He’s quiet though. We tried talking to him, but…”
“But?”
Tubbo shrugs. "He's quiet. He doesn't talk much. I guess he's busy."

“Yeah, sure,” Tommy agreed, knowing that if they said he was kidnapped, it would keep people from getting suspicious of why he was seen in public with Siren. “Anyway, can I get the chicken nuggets happy meal, with a coke?”

He gets to know them and becomes very close to them. Ghosty becomes a protector of the prince as he is next in line for king. There are always people on the hunt for mermaids and mermaids looking to take out the royal family. Becoming close to humans can draw more attention to his kind- and when jamie lets it slip to their friends they found a mermaid... Raes life gets flipped upside down.

Summary
It wasn't supposed to go this far. It was supposed to be simple and under the radar. The patrol turned into a confrontation, a confrontation turned into a fight, and the fight had witnesses, who called the pro heroes. And now, Sherbert was running from a pro hero, while they were dealing with a bleeding head wound.
The pro heroes were the big guys. Fabricator, Ares, and Psyche, were all insanely powerful. Most of them were trained from an early age to stand up for people who couldn't stand up for themselves. Only a few people were even allowed to become heroes, and those who were especially weren't powerless.
And that was Sherbert's problem; they were powerless.
OR:
A vigilante, who goes by no name other than one given to them, Alchemist; gets themselves wrapped up in a lot of pro-hero issues and drama.
