YOU SHOULD READ THIS EVEN IF YOU DON'T LIKE DUKE

I almost didn't read this because it's Duke-centric. I've never read any of his runs, and all my knowledge is second-hand / fandom (which doesnt do a good job of including him as more than a prop chqracter) so I never really connected.
BUT because this is so extremely AU to most content with him in it, it gave so much more freedom for building Duke as his own separate character, AND the whole vibe is sort of less Duke-becomes-a-bat (though he's definitely accepted as A Robin in spirit if not literally) and more Duke's-POV-of-the-bats. We get to see snapshots of the other characters in the final weeks of a decade long story. It's amazing how much of the final picture can be imagined from those few tiny puzzle peices. I'm blown away by it, honestly.💕💚💕

Absolutely Devastated. 😭😭😭😭What I wouldn't give for a tiny scrap of Duke + The Robins found family epilogue 😩
In my heart, they all move back to the manor and become a big ol' mishmash family tied together as Bruce's kids. . . And maybe Damian becomes Gotham's next Bat with Duke as his "Robin", the Guiding Light to his Dark Knight (platonic). I think the other kids deserve a rest at this point.

Summary
Despite having operated in Gotham for three years, Crow is a mystery to everyone. Tiny, silent, emotionless, and seemingly omnipresent, he seems to be inescapable for the criminals of Gotham. Even more terrifying, no one knows who he is: not Batman, not Oracle, and certainly not the Red Hood.
That doesn't stop others from growing attached, however, and every vigilante in Gotham wants what's best for Crow. Too bad none of them agree on what that is.

He opens his eyes, and stares up at the canopy of the four poster bed he's in. It takes a second, his vision is a bit blurry, but it clears up quick enough.
Two seconds.
Three seconds.
Four seconds.
Part of Jason keeps the count going, while the rest of him kind of just...seizes. Because he knows this canopy. He knows the the posts it's attached to. He—fuck—he knows the notch in the bottom left post he'd put in it when he'd stolen one of Bruce's batarangs when he was twelve and thrown it around like the stupid kid he'd been.
This was Jason's room.
Or, the one where Jason gets zapped with magic, wakes up in his teenage body, and decides to let the timeline know exactly how fucked it is. He also becomes the president of the Tim Drake Appreciation Club.

It’s a horrible job, and he’d doesn’t want to do it. But even with a case like this, he has no choice.
Red Hood is revered in the Infinite Realms. Jason Todd is loved in the Mortal Realm. Danny isn’t allowed to just leave him be. But… Maybe he can make a different offer than to take away what keeps his conscious bound to his revolved body?Or: When Jason can’t continue his zombie life anymore, Danny pays him a visit to make an offer.
