Summary
Some time after Sora's disappearance, a lone Young Xehanort replica washes up on the shores of Destiny Island with no memories of anything beyond his life on the Islands. Riku is suspicious, but he takes a chance and accepts the replica as his first Keyblade apprentice. While Riku struggles in his new role, the two are confronted with their own pasts and the pasts of keybearers much older, the future of the Guardians of Light and their dark counterparts, and the appearance of a young replica Eraqus under the care of Master Aqua.

Summary
Welcome to the Destiny Islands, where our story starts to begin, nearly fourteen years after our prologue with Ventus. Sora, Riku, and Kairi, a trio of the bestest of friends, are planning on building a raft to get out and see other worlds. But not everything is at rest. Sora's been getting strange dreams about a place with platforms of stained glass and ominous voices, and though he isn't particularly scared by these dreams... it's still weird. Meanwhile, Kairi, our favorite Princess of Heart, is having some issues, seeing as she is also experiencing dreams like the ones Sora has been, but hers is vastly different from his. Not to mention, the ever growing rivalry between Riku and Sora.
But when their home is suddenly plunged into darkness, and Sora and Kairi are thrown into a new world entirely... questions start to arise. Where is Riku, and why isn't he here with them? Why does Kairi have a magical weapon, and why is she the only one to wield it? Why doesn't Sora have one?

„He could hurt himself and others. It's not safe. You can see that. I mean....“ she trailed off, her eyes widening before she whipped her head around to stare at Xehanort. She looked back at the people training. Looked back to Xehanort. And then she was gone.
„Oh come on!“ Xehanort yelled, throwing his hands into the air.
Or: What would have happened if Xehanort being the reincarnation of the Player Character in UX had more lasting consequences than him having weird dreams in Dark Road? What would have happened if he had been able to talk with his older self and get advice from them?
