Narahara is still far from here. Nanami sure as hell isn’t suitable for this kind of thing because neither of them has any background in the military to set up this kind of objective, and yet here he is. Having to look over his back every now and then for reassurance that his responsibility is there, still following, still with him.
But then again, Nanami has survived the first waves of pandemic chaos back when he's twenty-five and now he's forty. This kid was also entrusted by someone who has saved him way too many times, and he should've known better already: Mostly, the after is always the hardest part in surviving. It is always the after.

But it was something Suguru Geto kept from him, the moment he was given this job. “Take the kid to the Jujutsu Sorcerers,” a group infamous for fighting against the claws of the enforcements.
And the reason why Geto wasn’t doing it himself, the bastard had gotten injured. A wound ripped through his stomach and out the other side, causing him to almost feel bad. The words that spilled through Geto’s mouth in an attempt to persuade the other made for some fair game manipulation. And to just get him to shut up, Nanami agreed. Only to the capitol building. It was as simple as that.
