Draco knows they aren't the only students who will be completing their NEWTs this year, but they are the only ones whose home fireplaces were disconnected from the floo network by the ministry.
At least, Draco assumes as much until he sees the light falling out from the front door of one of the other rickety old houses in front of them and the three figures cast in its warm glow. For a moment they look like some sort of strange, many legged creature. An acromantula, or a particularly massive Blast-Ended Skrewt. Then Draco hears Pansy make a disgusted sound beside him and the light falls in a less blinding way, and Draco can see that it is actually Potter and the Weasel carrying a large couch between them, and Granger fluttering around them with her wand out, seeming concerned.

Do you like Gravity Falls? Have you ever found yourself wishing that the original show could have been a bit more weird? Creepy? Dark? Disturbing? Mature? If so, then this is the fic for you.
Dipper is more paranoid and nervous, while Mabel is a bit more of a flirtatious con-woman of sorts. Grunkle Stan, Soos, and Wendy are mostly the same, but Stan has taken a more serious tone and we get to see into his thoughts more often.
All the characters have been aged up by three years because I didn’t feel comfortable sending two twelve year olds into the disturbing changes I made for the story. They’re fifteen and are more mature and calm, but still haven’t lost their eccentric charm.
I also made Stan an actual successful business man and plan to increase his wealth as the chapters go on. (You’ll see what I mean.)
If the writing seems a bit awkward or weird just know I intentionally left it that way to help add ambiance. That’s kinda the theme I’m going for with this whole thing.
(Idk if I need to put any trigger warnings, but be prepared for some dark stuff just in case. No self harm, but the harm and death of others is a definite possibility. As well as some mental and emotional trauma. Enjoy!)Bookmarked by Urcasualscroller
