Summary
His footsteps echo, the splashing of water loud in the quiet of the evening. Silence is fragile as glass, hovering above his head, broken only by his movement.
And then, a small, cut-off gasp, someone trying not to be heard. Someone in pain. Shinichi runs. Sees: a boy dressed in white and slumped over by the wall, curled into himself, arms wrapped around his stomach. Gaping wounds stretch over his skin, blood spilling out onto the ground. Like he’s been attacked by a wild animal. Moonlight drips down the side of his pale neck, painting him in silver light. One startling blue eye cracks open to look at Shinichi, narrowed in distrust. The sight of a stranger can't be very comforting.
“Leave,” he hisses, voice cutting through the air like a knife. Hostile.

Arthur John Gore, a named character in the book The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley, is a rising prince of the Navy within the Ministry of Intelligence. When a foreign spy is convicted of murder, that agent will be executed. This is a result of decades of war in the near future, there is no mercy left. Members of Gore's cohort take turns with this task, training and supervising an execution squad. It's a job that needs to be done.
The convicted espionage agent in this story will die. The officers who perform the task of the execution will do their duty.

The year was 1832 and three officers - though the witness would say that there were at least eight - found their way into a local patisserie down in Tacubaya and managed to swipe a few tea cakes while the owner wasn’t present. Coupled with the other cases of looting and crime, Mexico was faced with a (totally unreasonable) debt along with the pressure of balancing liberal and conservative factions in her country.

Summary
Alternate Universe/History - Napoleon has been exiled to a small town near the boarder of Wales with a small court of the loyal few who followed him out of France.
In a (possibly reckless) attempt to change fate, Napoleon accepts a rather questionable deal with the dead: if he joins the ranks of mazzeri, or Corsican dream hunters, he will be granted the opportunity to return to France. Meanwhile, a child goes missing in the village, the godson of the Duke of Wellington, prompting the Prince of Waterloo to come to Linwood in an attempt to provide whatever help he can to his friends.
But, not all is what it seems as events spiral out of control bringing disappearances, magic and fairies with ominous intentions for all.

Summary
This series of stories is inspired by The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley. It begins with a story called The Choice which has nineteen chapters of adventure for Graham Gore and his Bridge in the San Juan Islands, continuing the original story plot and adding several original characters. Although the story has a final chapter, it felt like there was more to say about these characters, and so I did. Each of the following one-shot stories takes the story further, and some other time Travellers show up.
Arthur John Gore, also known as Captain Lewis, told me that he felt neglected. The character asked me to write a story for him, and I did. His is the alternate universe where Adela Gore dies and her husband Graham is an Admiral, and Arthur grows up to have an interesting life. These chapters are now complete, I did not predict 35 of them. They are packed with plots, spies, action adventure and the very hard realization that the future hates you and wants to kill you. I'm sorry, it's sad in parts, I expect tears, I certainly shed them.
Arthur, at the end of his story, arrives in the past to be a beggar from the future. Romance also ensues.
