But... there shouldn't be light in the void inside the abyss. And what was that flying sphere in the sky? Most importantly, who was this fluffy, feathered bug with wings that rested comfortably upon Its head, making pleased cooing sounds all the while?

Summary
A parahuman with an unyielding thirst for justice makes a gambit with his entire country on the line. Although he doesn’t kill any of the millions of innocents he was prepared to sacrifice (thanks in part to a certain arthropodokinetic), in his offensive against the endbringer Behemoth, his rending light fails to put the beast down for good. As it burrows down towards him to ensure his death, a gateway to another world opens beneath his feet. Now tasked with saving a city from a supposed threat on the scale of what he had just fought, he must keep moving forward. Although the path to victory seems easy at first, the world at large will not take kindly to a ruthless man dispensing “justice”…

Destiny quailed before those whose hearts burned with the fire of change, granting the doomed a fleeting chance to rise and fight.
