Summary
A sprawling piece of original Elder Scrolls fanfiction set in 4E 199 Cyrodiil featuring a cast comprised entirely of original characters, and crafted with my penchant for the more obscure pieces of Elder Scrolls lore in mind. However, with a caveat. Only lore snippets from the "Big Three" games of TES are being used - those being Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim - and what I've pulled has been worked into something cohesive within itself, maybe not entirely lore-compliant, but as close as I can reasonably get it for the sake of the story. And that, believe it or not, is fairly close. The only canonical main quests you'll find here are long finished, their respective heroes committed to history, or yet to begin. Planned to be told across three books and two novellas, each exploring deep, complex characters driven by their own desires and not a player's, Melody of the Arcane is meant to tell a story that the Elder Scrolls games never could. It is a story of grief, but also one of healing. The three books and two "interludes" are as follows;
