Summary
“Fuck it,” Hob mutters, a series of complex emotions tumbling across his face in quick succession to each other - too fast for Dream to log. Fingers tap compulsively at Hob’s side, fidgeting in deep conflict. “I definitely won’t remember any of this?”
Dream’s brows slant. “No.”
"Perfect.” Hob says, only somewhat hysterically, before closing the distance between them in three purposeful steps.

Or: Hob was there during the events of Overture.

Summary
Matthew makes another despairing sound. “This is unbearable. You must have a rough estimate of how far away we are. You’re the driver. The driver is responsible for the rest of the passengers. It’s right there in the Highway Code, man.”
“Well, shit, I didn’t think about it like that. Let me just tap into the secret sixth sense that comes with getting your license, and - oh, would you look at that, I still don’t know, Matthew!”
“First of all, language.” Matthew petulantly parrots Hob’s earlier chiding. “Second, what does the satnav say?”
“The satnav says you need to shut the f-”
Dream’s book snaps shut.

Or: The AC in Hob's car is broken.

Summary
Recently divorced, Dream has moved with his son Orpheus to London to take over the management of an art gallery. He is somewhat lonely, but glad to be able to start over. He is doubly glad when his son Orpheus befriends another omega boy at school -- from his own experience, Dream knows how difficult it is to meet others of that relatively rare combination, and yet how important it is to have such friends. He's not expecting to be drawn so immediately to Robyn's father, but refuses to let it show; he cannot afford to jeopardize his career and Orpheus' new home by gaining an unsavory reputation.
Hob has no idea how Dream's ex ever let him go; if Dream were his, he'd do literally anything in his power to make the stunningly beautiful omega happy. But Hob has no chance with Dream, so he contents himself with nurturing the friendship between himself and the father of his son's new best friend. If he spends some private time fantasizing about having Dream in his arms, well, it's his heart to break, isn't it?
