Tomura can’t help but laugh at the irony. Here he is using his father’s embalmed, severed hand to calm himself down while his ‘actual’ father comes to pick him up. The morbidity of the idea sends him into a fit of manic cackles. He receives a few judgmental and disgusted stares from passersby but he doesn’t give a fuck.

“So,” Dabi starts, mimicking Tenko’s words. “I don’t think you’re a whiner at all.”
Tenko feels slightly relieved at that.
“I think it’s natural for humans to wish to be more fortunate than what they are right now,” Dabi explains. “So there’s no shame when you feel this way.”
Tenko senses that Dabi has more to say, though. “…But?”
Dabi smiles, oddly approving. “No ‘but’s. Just an ‘if,’ albeit a hypothetical one.”
“Aren’t all ‘if’s hypothetical?”
The room darkens a little bit. "Not always," the TV sounds a little quieter now. "Not if you don't want it to,"
An uneasy feeling twists in Tenko's belly.
Aspiring manga artist and university student Tenko Shimura vents a little about the current challenges with his life to Dabi, his strange but attentive roommate who's always so enthusiastic - albeit bordering on the side of too much - when offering help. A choice.
Come to think of it, Tenko doesn't really know anything about Dabi, does he?

Summary
“Sorry, I can’t hear you over the sound of your teeth chattering.” If looks could kill then Dabi would be six feet underground in an instant. It’s only a noise from Shigaraki’s nintendo and Shuichi calling him for backup in whatever game they’re playing that has Shig’s eyes turning back to the game.
It’s oddly peaceful, and Dabi actually doesn’t mind sprawling out on the couch on his phone while the TV plays loudly in the background, only coupled by Shuichi’s and Shigaraki’s games, and the rest of the League’s ongoing conversations.
That is until Jin says, “Oh, shit. I think this one died.”
AKA how Dabi goes from being the League's only functional heater to being Shigaraki's personal one and not necessarily against his own wishes.

The father, his normally well-combed hair in messy disarray, looked like he had swallowed a lemon. "Nor do they generally get so... destructive in their application."
The doctor swiveled on his chair, putting away Tenko Shimura's file and instead grabbing what he never expected to see at a pediatrician's office: a dog's medical history. "Very few animals have been registered developing Quirks on their own, so our data on the subject is still limited... but to have both an aberrant Quirk and an animal with a Quirk appear at the same time, and then cancel each other out so that your son's Quirk onset ended only on a destroyed camera and not something much worse..."
The parents' shadowed expressions told Doctor Tatanga that they understood the implication well enough. "...this is a digression, but have you ever considered playing the lottery?"
Or; Mon-chan has a Quirk and everything changes because of it.

He wasn't here to fix anyone's problems or redeem himself, he would just let things play out and hope he doesn't run into his other self and maybe kill All For One. Of course instead he ran into every familiar face he knew.

Eraser looked about as serious as always, though, which was exactly what sent Tomura into a cackling, maniacal sort of laughter.
“You’re joking!”
“Do I look like I’m joking?”
His laughter trailed off into giggling that abruptly stopped, the smile dropping from his dry lips when the hero continued to wait for his answer.
“You…” Tomura wrinkled his nose. “You want me to come live with you? What? Are you out of your mind?”

Shigaraki is captured and placed in Tartarus, where he assumes he'll rot. At least until Eraserhead takes him in after realizing there was more to the villain than it had appeared.
Kurogiri, though, just wants his ward back. And he's willing to dust off old secrets to accomplish that.

A growing string of disappearing people, a catastrophic Ley Line disorder, a chaotic space and a convoluted Fatui plot throws much of Mondstadt into a not-so-distant past, surrounded by uncomfortably familiar faces.
Unfortunately for Kaeya, this means forgoing a much-needed vacation to try and figure out what exactly is going on. That, and grappling with the presence of a boy who looks and sounds like Diluc, but is someone far different than the man that Diluc has become.
Gods, he could really go for a drink right about now.
