He was raised by a psychopath, heavily manipulated. Essentially forced to raise his 2 brothers and younger cousin from the age of 5. He associated tolerance with love, anything else was anger. Words are hollow to him, without actions behind them now
He was raised thinking, Praise, love, and food were rewards of compliance, leading to awful relationships with all of the above. He's indifferent to being used, or told what to do.
He seeks comfort in the familiarity.Epsilon also has a history with addiction, getting himself lost in alcoholism very young. It was often the only drink in the fridge.
