He hangs out with Clint in Bed-Stuy and watches Dog Cops. Sometimes Tony gives him super alcohol in a sippy cup. Sometimes he sees Bucky out of the corner of his eye and wonders if it's real or if he's starting to lose his mind.
Alternately, the one with terrible jokes, a foot chase through the Lower East Side, and a tiny little robot named Shitcan.

Summary
The thing about Bucky these days is that, while he might be a semi-mythical assassin, he's also vulnerable—the kind of vulnerable that makes total strangers want to drape a blanket over his shoulders and take him to safety. The problem is, of course, that Bucky is already safe.
The first time it happens, Bucky has no idea how to react. He and Steve are walking down the street, when a slight woman takes in Bucky’s terrified eyes, the dark circles so bad they almost look like bruises, and Steve’s protective hand resting on his lower back, guiding him down the busy sidewalk (but it must look possessive, to someone looking for a sign), and comes to the wrong conclusion.

Steve had started to wonder if Bucky slept at all, aside from the occasional twenty minute nap that would overtake him on the couch, and which he'd inevitably startle awake from before ever falling into a deeper sleep. It'd been his idea to train all afternoon, likely hoping to wear himself out, and it did seem to have done the trick, if he'd fallen asleep in the short time Steve had been gone.

Bucky held onto me at a time when I had nobody else: I was I was one hand-hold away from slipping down the drain to nowhere. Back then he knew lots of people and I didn't know anybody. Then, after we came back, I’m the one who knew people and he didn’t know anybody. But I’m his person and that’s that. I’m going to hold onto him for dear life for the rest of my life, because that’s just how it is, for us.

Bucky’s daily circuit, without fail, takes him to the small plot of land where Steve is buried. Brooklyn’s ghostly ruins are the perfect setting for the once proud tombstone, now battered and sloping from wind and grit.
Sometime in the future, Earth has been left uninhabitable after a long alien war. The few humans remaining fled to the skies, leaving only Bucky Barnes behind to monitor the dying planet.
Then, a very much alive Steve Rogers crash lands at his front door.

Even with all his hair hacked off, he doesn't look like a Bucky, Sam thinks. Maybe as some sort of stupid joke, like naming your most vicious dog Sweetpea. Steve's told him the stories, and he's seen the old newsreels; he knows what this Barnes guy used to be like. He got used to the hospital smell, and the sharp need to look over his shoulder dissipated as he patiently fielded the most pleasantly uncomplicated conversations he’d had in longer than he could remember. Kids didn’t care how many innocent people Hydra had ordered him to take out. Kids didn’t care how deep his programming ran, or if he’d chosen to take up with the enemy. They wanted to know if he could pick up a car, and what it was like running around with Captain America, and if the Winter Soldier liked pancakes.
Recovery doesn't mean a person always gets all better. Sometimes, recovery is finding a new baseline. There are few people who understand this better than Bucky Barnes.
