Summary
Wei Wuxian is a concept artist working for the Lotus Pier game co. and their next game is a retelling of the famous ancient tale of the Yiling Patriarch, and his constant companion Hanguang-Jun. All Wei Wuxian wants is to bring these characters to life, but he has trouble finding the correct likeness for their protagonist, and his companion too. It doesn't help that whenever he thinks of Hanguang-jun, all he can picture is his roomate (and long time crush) Lan Zhan. However, when Wei Wuxian asks Lan Zhan for his help on composing a track for the game, things take a welcoming turn.

Wei Ying unlocks his phone and opens up his messages.
The first thing he sees is his screenshot of Lan Zhan’s texts. He hums and clicks out of that conversation with Nie Huaisang, and clicks on Lan Zhan’s name instead.
The second thing he sees is his screenshot of Lan Zhan’s texts. Wei Ying blinks. He clicks back out of that conversation, finds Lan Zhan’s name, and makes sure to carefully select it.
The third thing he sees is his screenshot of Lan Zhan’s texts. Followed by his declaration of wanting to marry him. Followed by Lan Zhan ❤ at the top of the thread. Followed by Oh.
